&#60;p&#62;ok firstly i made a model using solidworks then i jus imported it to algor. the problem is the model consist of two flanges and bolted together with a strip of metal attached across the flanges( if u need me to put a pic or send the soldiworks file let me know...it will be better than tryin to elaborate more) and i need to do a FEA on the strip of metal not the entire flange. but i need the flanges inorder to apply the load since i am pulling the flanges apart.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;if theres any expert out there i'll really appreciate the help..i can send u the file so u can get a first hand look at what i am talkin about.&#60;/p&#62;
