  i want to find out the residual stress field induced on a surface as a result of a surface treatment like shot peening. can anyone guide me what course of action should i follow in Ansys. i further want to use the resulting material (with residual stress field on) to find the fatique behavior and thus try to find the effect of various residual stress fields on fatique behavior / life of any material. please help me&#60;br /&#62;
