    Hi,

I have a structure that is flown on an aircraft and therfore experiences vibration. We have acceleration measurements along its length and a FE model of the structure in ANSYS. Our acceleration measurements are not made at the base of the structure but at locations along it's length. We want to perform a random vibration anlaysis of the structure but ANSYS only seems to allow you to specify acceleration PSDs at the base. The manual does say that you can specifiy loading at non grounded nodes but this is in terms of force and I don't have this information. Does anyone know how to do this? I have multiple acceleration PSDs along the length of the structure which make up the input loading. Is there a method of running the modal analysis part first then running a subcase with the acceleration input?

    Hope you can help

    Many thanks

    E
